Double-Pane Window Glass Warranty Options
At All American Window and Screen Company, we want our customers to understand exactly what warranty protection is available with their new insulated window glass.
Your project may include two separate types of warranty coverage:
A manufacturer’s warranty covering an approved insulated-glass seal failure.
A labor warranty from All American Window and Screen Company covering the ordinary labor required to remove and reinstall an approved replacement unit.
These warranties are separate. The manufacturer or supplier determines whether the glass qualifies for replacement under its warranty. Our labor warranty determines how long the related removal and installation labor is covered.
Manufacturer Seal-Failure Warranties
Standard Clear Insulated Glass
Standard Clear insulated-glass units include a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty against seal failure, subject to the manufacturer’s written terms, conditions and exclusions.
Standard RLE Low-E Insulated Glass
Standard RLE Low-E insulated-glass units include a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty against seal failure, subject to the manufacturer’s written terms, conditions and exclusions.
Cardinal Low-E Insulated Glass
Cardinal Low-E insulated-glass units include a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty against seal failure, subject to Cardinal’s written terms, conditions and exclusions.
Cardinal Low-E glass may also provide improved energy efficiency, solar-heat control and UV protection compared with standard clear glass.
Labor Warranty Options
All qualifying installations performed by All American Window and Screen Company include a 2-year labor warranty at no additional charge.
Customers may purchase extended labor coverage based on the number of insulated-glass units included in the project.
Included 2-Year Labor Warranty
Our standard labor warranty covers qualifying installation labor for two years from the original installation completion date.
Cost: Included at no additional charge
5-Year Extended Labor Warranty
This option extends labor coverage through five years from the original installation completion date.

The 5-year option is designed to provide labor coverage for the same general period as the 5-year manufacturer’s seal-failure warranty available with Standard Clear and Standard RLE Low-E insulated-glass units.
10-Year Extended Labor Warranty
This option extends labor coverage through ten years from the original installation completion date.

The 10-year option is designed to provide labor coverage for the same general period as the 10-year manufacturer’s seal-failure warranty available with Cardinal Low-E insulated-glass units.
What Does the Labor Warranty Cover?
When the manufacturer or supplier approves an insulated-glass seal-failure claim, the applicable All American labor warranty covers our ordinary labor to:
Remove the approved failed insulated-glass unit
Prepare the existing opening for the replacement unit
Install the manufacturer-approved replacement unit
Complete the ordinary installation work associated with that replacement
Manufacturer approval is required before labor-warranty service is performed.
Important Coverage Information
Extended labor coverage begins on the original installation completion date. It replaces the included 2-year labor period; it does not add five or ten years after the original two-year warranty expires.
The extended-warranty price is based on the number of insulated-glass units covered under the original invoice. Units installed under a separate invoice or added at a later date are not automatically covered unless they are added in writing and the applicable warranty charge is paid.
Manufacturer warranties generally cover an approved replacement product or insulated-glass unit. Unless expressly stated by the manufacturer, they do not cover labor, freight, taxes, disposal, permits, lifts, scaffolding or other incidental expenses.
What Is Not Covered?
Warranty coverage does not apply to:
Broken glass or impact damage
Misuse, abuse or improper maintenance
Normal wear, cleaning or routine adjustments
Condensation occurring on the room-side or exterior glass surfaces
Severe weather, hail, flooding or other acts of God
Damage caused by work performed by another contractor
Aftermarket window film or tint
Chemical coatings or treatments, including products such as Rain-X
Solar screens installed against the glass without proper ventilation
Complete coverage remains subject to the applicable manufacturer’s warranty and the written All American Window and Screen Company labor-warranty terms.
Is the Labor Warranty Transferable?
Yes. The labor warranty may be transferred to a subsequent homeowner.
Coverage remains connected to the original installation address and covered work. Transferring ownership does not restart or extend the original warranty period.
Which Labor Warranty Should You Choose?
For Standard Clear or Standard RLE Low-E glass, the 5-year extended labor warranty provides labor coverage for the same general period as the 5-year manufacturer’s seal-failure warranty.
For Cardinal Low-E glass, the 10-year extended labor warranty provides labor coverage for the same general period as Cardinal’s 10-year manufacturer’s seal-failure warranty.
If an extended labor warranty is not selected and paid for, the included 2-year labor warranty will apply.
